Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè (/oˈʃɪë/ /ˈɘp˔ɪ/ [violet] [copper; bronze]) is a subtropical Town located in the Ineg̈èsho Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè was founded by Mlèbëi Trêthesh, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè receives an average of 235 cm/y (92 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 3638 m (11935 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 9th century, by Mlèbëi Trêthesh. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Mlèbëi Trêthesh.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a single crampt packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's monster and outlaw focused fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Beneath this surface, the people of Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

Civic Infrastructure

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè. Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.

The Leshy, Poppy near Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè are known to be quite timid.

Oshîë-êpíî Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves drinking to channel Invocation energies of tier 3 via speaking in tongues.
